Who we ARe

What is B.A.M.?

B.A.M. is an acronym, standing for "Brookings Area Moms," and is a program designed to meet the needs of mothers of children ages birth through eighteen. Our organization is a non-denominational group that includes mothers from across the communities and congregations surrounding the Brookings, SD area.

When does B.A.M. meet?

We have formal meetings on the first and third Monday of every month, September through May, from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at Bethel Baptist Church.

What about childcare?

We will have limited childcare options, reserved primarily for single moms and moms whose spouses work evenings or nights.

What do you do at B.A.M.?

B.A.M. meetings generally include socializing, learning from "mentor moms"—moms who now have older children—listening to speakers who address various needs moms have, and discussing  the presented content. We also occasionally do service projects, crafts, and events through-out the year.
